Discovering Cinque Terre from Riomaggiore
We couldn’t resist extending our trip to Italy and exploring the beautiful Cinque Terre region before attending a wedding in the countryside. We chose to stay in Riomaggiore, a charming village nestled in the heart of Cinque Terre, and used it as our base for exploring the surrounding area.
Our AirBnB in Riomaggiore was a cozy and comfortable home-away-from-home, and the perfect location to begin our adventure. We spent our days hiking along the stunning coastline, enjoying fresh seafood from the local restaurants, and soaking in the beautiful views.
One of the highlights of our trip was hiking the famous Via dell’Amore, a breathtaking trail that winds along the coastline and connects Riomaggiore to the neighboring village of Manarola. The views from the trail were absolutely stunning, and we were able to stop along the way and enjoy a picnic with fresh Italian bread and wine.
In addition to hiking, we also spent time exploring the other four villages of Cinque Terre: Vernazza, Corniglia, Monterosso, and Manarola. Each village had its own unique charm and beauty, and we were able to experience the local culture and cuisine.
Overall, our time in Cinque Terre was an unforgettable experience, and we’re so glad we chose to stay in Riomaggiore. We highly recommend this beautiful region to anyone traveling to Italy, and we can’t wait to go back ourselves.
